This year's Pokemon Thanksgiving Day Parade Balloon will include Pikachu and Eevee.

The Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade in New York City is one of America's most enduringly popular Thanksgiving Day traditions, and it will feature a new Pokemon balloon this year.

The Pokemon Company has revealed a new balloon for 2021, which includes Eevee as well as Pikachu, who is usually portrayed alone during the occasion. The two beasts are seen in the balloon seated on a Poke Ball-inspired sled and dressed for the holidays.

Pikachu is generally the centre of attention during the parade, but Colin Palmer of The Pokemon Company said Eevee was the "ideal Pokemon friend" to join Pikachu and represent the Pokemon brand in the future. The Pokemon portion from last year's parade may be seen below; it contained a hint for Pokemon's 25th anniversary in 2021.

Since Pokemon originally appeared at the event in 2001, the new balloon is the fourth such Pokemon balloon to be seen at the parade. Pikachu was the sole subject of the preceding three balloons.

On Thursday, November 25, the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade will take place. It'll be interesting to see if there are any more gaming-related balloons this year. Whatever the case may be, the parade will take place shortly after the November 19 release of Pokemon Brilliant Diamond/Shining Pearl.

Black Friday is the day after Thanksgiving, and we expect lots of sales and discounts on games, hardware, accessories, and more–stay tuned to GameSpot for more on Black Friday 2021.
