The Zombie Land Saga anime is getting a film adaptation -

 

The Zombie Land Saga anime was announced to be getting a film production during a ceremony on Sunday.

On Sunday, Avex Pictures began streaming a trailer for the film. "A Zombie-less Fight: Saga Revenge Edition" is the title of the live-action trailer. Actors Hakuryuu and Kunio Murai, both from Saga prefecture, appear in the video. They argue about the prefecture in the video. In the Zombie Land Saga Revenge anime, Hakuryuu voiced the character White Ryu.

The Zombie Land Saga anime, produced by MAPPA, Avex Pictures, and Cygames, debuted in October 2018. Crunchyroll broadcasted the 12-episode series live, while Funimation broadcasted an English dub.

On April 8, the Zombie Land Saga Revenge sequel anime debuted in Japan for 12 episodes. The sequel was streamed live on Crunchyroll as it aired in Japan. In July, Funimation began broadcasting an English dub.

Sakura Minamoto, who aspires to be an idol, is hit by a car and transforms into a zombie in the anime. Ktar Tatsumi appears and informs her that he is recruiting her for an idol group made up of zombies, deceased girls he has "recruited" from various periods in Japanese history.

In September 2020, Sgetsu Hall in Tokyo will host four performances of Zombie Land Saga Stage de Do-n!, an anime-inspired stage play. The drama was initially intended to run in Tokyo for seven performances in March 2020.

Character designer Kasumi Fukagawa created the first side storey manga for the anime, titled Zombie Land Saga Gaiden: The First Zombie. On May 19, the manga was first published in Shueisha's Ultra Jump magazine.
