The developers explained the delay by saying, "The game's depth and strategic freedom much exceeded my expectations. Thank you for your patience and faith."

Elden Ring will be the subject of a closed network test, which will begin very soon, according to the publisher. You can register today for a chance to participate in the closed network test, which starts on November 12th.

Last year, Xbox boss Phil Spencer admitted to playing Elden Ring, describing it as director Hidetaka Miyazaki's "most ambitious game." It will be available for PC, PS4, Xbox One, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S. PS4 gamers will be able to upgrade to the PS5 version for free, while Xbox versions will include Smart Delivery functionality.
