Shotaro and Philip's teaser visual from the anime "Futo Detectives"

The teaser visual for Shotaro Ishinomori, Riku Sanjo, and Masaki Satou's anime " Futo Detective " has been revealed.

The anime "Futo Detectives" is a sequel to the special effects drama "Kamen Rider W," which will be released in the summer of 2022. Shotaro Sakata and his sidekick Philip are confronted with a new mystery incident in the windy city where peace should have arrived. The teaser image was presented at the New York Comic Con's "Anime Happens Here: Funimation Panel," which took place from October 7th to 10th and was the largest pop culture event in the United States. Shotaro and Philip have been drawn, and the background has been coloured in the work's theme colour.

The anime will premiere in summer 2022, marking the 50th anniversary of the Kamen Rider brand. When the anime is released, Funimation will stream it.

The manga is a follow-up to the Kamen Rider W (pronounced "double") series from 2009. The manga's texts are overseen by Riku Sanj, a key writer from the original series. The manga is being drawn by Masaki Satou (Love Theory). Hideaki Tsukada, a Toei producer, is overseeing the manga. The creature design is ascribed to Katsuya Terada (Blood: The Last Vampire, Silk Road Kids). The new sequel, like the original series, is set in Fto city and revolves around the characters Shotaro Hidari and Philip.

The manga is described by Toei as follows:

Shotaro and Philip are protecting FUUTO, but strange happenings continue to occur often on the outskirts of town.

A new evil throws its shadow over the windy city when Tokime, a strange beauty, comes.

For Kamen Rider W, it's the start of a new battle.
